Though there are trails that lead to various waterfalls and overlooks, we chose to hike along the creekbed itself.
One reward for walking the creekbed is to slip as Susan has done beneath this waterfuall, not easily reached in other ways.
We stayed at Cottage Plantation bed and breakfast, which has several interesting outbuildings.
Many of the trees there are hung with Spanish moss.
At Cottage Plantation, we found a resident guardian, whom we dubbed Spatula, although there was some rumor of another name. Our love of Spatula did ebb a bit during her 4 a.m. barking frenzy.
We woke up on Palm Sunday, so Patrick, left, and I beamed a few things between our Palms as Elizatbeh conversed with Susan, who recorded the Palm Sunday Palm celebration.
